Physics is the next big thing in gaming. Without physics, the world is static, indestructible, and lifeless. With physics, the world comes to life: walls can be torn down, trees bend in the wind, and water flows with body and force. NVIDIA PhysX technology, the most popular physics API in the world with over 140 shipping titles, is used by more than 10,000 registered users, and supported on Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and the PC. And as you know, since NVIDIA acquired Ageia, we have been working hard to bring PhysX on the graphics processing unit (GPU). You've asked to see real PhysX content. Now it's here! Today we are pleased to announce the availability of the NVIDIA PhysX Pack #1.

The general public will be able to download the entire pack FOR FREE from their regional www.nvidia.com web site starting on August 12th, but visitors to Benchmark Reviews can have access to some of the goods right now! This will be launched in conjunction with the new GPU driver that will work across the entire line of GeForce 8, GeForce 9, and GeForce GTX 200 Series GPUs. NVIDIA PhysX Zone

Free downloads of the full version Warmonger video game are available now to the public. This is a single- and multi-player first person shooter that heavily taxes the video card with physics demands. Do not attempt to play this game with graphic cards lacking strong physics support.

An alpha-level release of the upcoming game Metal Knight Zero was planned to be mirrored for download by Benchmark Reviews, but after learning that it only contains a very unstable built-in benchmark we decided against it. Additional information on MKZ is available from the Object Software Website.
