Penguin United Eagle Eye Converter v2.0 Firmware Update Released

Version 2.0 Firmware Further Enhances Speed, Precision & Control PS3 Gamers Will Have Over Their Competition

Penguin United, a leading manufacturer of video-game accessories, today announced the release of its Version 2.0 Firmware for the Eagle Eye Converter, a unique device that allows PS3 gamers to use a keyboard and mouse instead of a regular gamepad controller to play their favorite PS3 games. The update includes features such as Advanced Calibration Function, new Eagle Edit 2.0 Software, improved compatibility with RazerTM mice, and fixes to the V. 2.0 Beta firmware released in October 2010. The updates enable customers who already own an Eagle Eye Converter to update their firmware to include the latest functions.

"We listened to what they had to say and now believe that the Eagle Eye Converter delivers THE best possible gaming experience to the PS3."
.The most significant feature in the firmware update is the added Advanced Calibration Function which incorporates deadzone neutralization, sensitivity adjustments, and calibration synchronization to allow customized mouse speed and super smooth movement that gives users a more precise gameplay experience. This addition helps eliminate deadzone, which is most noticeable while gaming during micro-movements (i.e.: when zoomed in), and can cause a number of issues with a user's mouse (i.e.: jagged edges and jumpy movements). The new sensitivity adjustment manages the overall speed of mouse movements. Finally, the Advanced Calibration Synchronization was added to allow users to download and backup the new advanced sensitivity and deadzone settings that they customized for a particular game to a store into their PC. What's more, the user can share this setting with friends or the gaming community.

The update also includes an enhanced version of the Eagle Edit Software, which allows users to synchronize in-game advanced calibration from the new firmware 2.0 update, map up to 9 mouse buttons, and includes other miscellaneous improvements. "The Version 2.0 firmware update has been developed largely in part to the feedback we received from our customers," said Richard Huang, president, Penguin United. "We listened to what they had to say and now believe that the Eagle Eye Converter delivers THE best possible gaming experience to the PS3."

The Eagle Eye Converter is the next evolution of control and accuracy in console gaming as it features a high capacity CPU with a 1 to 1 translation from the PS3 right analog stick to the mouse and gives the user super smooth movement, precise reactions, and no lag. The converter is simple to set-up (plug and play) and includes easy-to-use PC software that allows gamers to customize their keys by mapping out buttons and programming macro functions to turn any key into a combo of moves.
