MSI introduced the brand new 21.5" entertainment models: Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G, which sport a new ID design with integrated screen and CPU unit and help reduce clutter on your desktop. The AE2281/AE2281G are equipped with Full HD panels fitted with industry-leading LED backlight technology which is about 30% more energy efficient than conventional CCFL panels. In addition, MSI's unique power-saving technology offers consumers substantial savings in this age of high electricity costs and truly creates environmentally friendly and green computers. The new models are also equipped with the 3rd Generation of Intel® Core^TM processors,with breakthrough computing performance that makes multitasking even more efficient.

Revolutionary 3rd-generation Intel Core processors

The Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G are powered by 3rd Generation Intel® Core^TM processors manufactured with the latest 22 nm process. These new processors effectively enhance performance with reduced power consumption, and their graphics processing units are integrated into the CPUs on the same chips, which provides higher graphics capabilities, smoother high-definition video playback, as well as greater gaming experiences.

Supports fully automatic smart graphics switching technology - NVIDIA Optimus

On the AE2281G you will find the high-performance NVIDIA® GeForce® GT630M discrete graphics card, which provides users with a smoother experience in graphics performance. MSI has especially incorporated NVIDIA® Optimus^TM technology, previously supported only on mobile computing platforms. NVIDIA® Optimus^TM automatically determines the type of program the operating system is currently running (2D/3D) and allows automatic switching between the built-in graphics core of the CPU and the NVIDIA® GeForce® GT630M. When it is not necessary to employ the discrete graphics card (e.g. browsing the Web and doing work in Office), Optimus will switch to the CPU's built-in graphics core. On the other hand, when you require high performance for 3D gaming, the system will automatically switch to the NVIDIA® GeForce® GT630M discrete display to achieve high-efficiency while saving energy, allowing MSI's All-in-One desktop platform to have both better CPU utilization and lower power consumption for the mobile platform.

Military Class II components

The Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G are equipped with highly-stable and high-quality military-grade parts and components with SFC, solid state capacitors, and Hi-c Cap, which provide excellent stability, power efficiency, and performance. These three key components have passed U.S. Military Standard MIL-STD-810G certification and provide extra protection to ensure the system's stable operation.

Exclusive built-in Quick Fix self-maintenance software
MSI has also made substantial improvements in software by introducing the Quick Fix self-maintenance software, which helps users troubleshoot when the computer experiences a problem and determine whether it is possible for the unit to complete the repair on its own. The software also sends the results to repair technicians for reference. In addition, the software enables instantaneous driver updates and keeps the computer in perfect shape at all times.

MSI Instant Display Technology

The Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G are equipped with an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port which allows the units to be connected to a second monitor. They support dual-screen display and can also output the screen to a larger display device, such as a projector or a large-screen LCD TV, making the AE2281/AE2281G more versatile and more efficient. For signal input, the exclusively developed MSI Instant Display Technology allows the screen to enter the "standby" mode when the All-in-One PC is turned on without the need to press the power button on the unit. The screen will be turned on immediately when a device is connected to the HDMI input port and if the AIO PC is also powered on, you can switch to the PC via the screen power button on the side panel. This technology saves even more power on the system.

Intelligent audio and video sharing

MSI has introduced the latest and exclusively developed Smart Media link and Smart Sync functions on the Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G. Using cloud technology, users can use their tablets, laptops, TVs that support DLNA, and mobile handsets on the same Wi-Fi and LAN network to play videos and music or display photos instantaneously via Smart Media link. MSI Smart Sync allows you to synchronize Outlook contacts, calendars, as well as photos, music, documents, bookmarks and other data on your computers or mobile phones, allowing you to gain access to your personal information while creating a backup without duplicated data.

Comprehensive I/O interfaces and support for USB 3.0

The Wind Top AE2281/AE2281G has a comprehensive set of I/O expansion interfaces. The MSI Super Charger allows you to charge devices without turning on the AIO PC and the USB 3.0 port provides up to 10 times the data transfer rate of the previous generation, which helps you transfer large amounts of data or multimedia files quickly and more efficiently. (Note: The MSI Super Charger must be switched to ON when it is used for the first time.)

Upgraded performance with lower, more environmentally friendly energy requirements
MSI's All-in-One PCs offer industry-leading LED backlit panels that offer substantial energy savings. The LED panel's power consumption alone is 30% more efficient than conventional CCFL panels.
