MSI introducing its new generation GT683 gaming laptop which packs Intel's second generation Core i7-2630QM quad core processor and nVidia's new generation GeForce GTX 560M discrete graphics card with 1.5GB of GDDR5 display memory. It also supports DirectX 11 providing superior performance to greatly enhance visual details and comes with top-end Dynaudio and THX TruStudio Pro smart wrap around sound as well as a full HD display to further immerse you into the game worlds that you explore.

Eric Kuo, associate vice president for global sales, MSI Notebook, observes that the GT683 boasts a number of details that make it more user friendly. For example, by simply disabling the Windows key using the hotkey above the keyboard, you don't have to worry about accidently hitting it in the heat of battle.

Intel 2nd Generation Core i7 quad core processor: MSI's GT683 features Intel's most advanced Intel's 2nd Generation Core i7-2630QM quad core processor giving each core clock speeds of 2.00GHz. New generation Intel Core i7 processors support Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 which automatically allocates processor resources to boost core clock speeds and overall computer performance. They also support Quick Sync Video to enhance multimedia file computing performance during conversion, synchronization, and compilation.

nVidia GeForce GTX 560M discrete graphics card: The new generation GT683 pack nVidia's GeForce GTX 560M discrete graphics card with 1.5GB of GDDR5 display memory. They also feature large-capacity GDDR5 high-speed display memory coupled with nVidia's powerful display core, and DirectX 11 support for better detail in games.

Four DDR3 memory slots: To provide gamers with the most powerful machines possible, the new generation GT683 comes with four DDR3 memory slots for a maximum of 16GB, giving you an NB with the memory capacity of a server. Cooler Boost: In addition to TDE instant overclocking, MSI included its own powerful Cooler Boost technology in the GT683.
