Intel 980X offers Extreme Performance on ASUS Xtreme Design Motherboards

ASUS today announced its full support for Intel's latest 32nm processor, the 980X Extreme Edition. This next-generation 32nm processor (Gulftown) featuring six-core / twelve-thread operation will deliver maximum performance on ASUS' entire range of X58-based motherboards. To unleash the maximum CPU performance of the 980X Extreme Edition, users simply need to update the BIOS* of their existing ASUS X58-based motherboards.
