GIGABYTE Announces LIVE Worldwide Overclocking Competition

GIGABYTE UNITED INC., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, is proud to announce its LIVE Worldwide Overclocking Competition - Regional Tournament kick off in the U.S.A. from June 28 to June 29, 2008, in City of Industry, California. The champion will represent the United States team to compete with regional champions from around the globe at the GIGABYTE Worldwide Overclocking Competition 2008 in September, in Taipei, Taiwan.
GIGABYTE's Invitational Overclocking Tournament aims on bringing together regional extreme power users to compete on benching GIGABYTE's top of the line gaming motherboards to the upper echelons of performance, setting world records on the GA-X48T-DQ6 platform.

GIGABYTE is very honored and privileged to invite power users from the U.S., well known for their world record-breaking benchmark scores to the first GIGABYTE Live Overclocking Competition conducted State-side, and impress onsite spectators with a series of overclocking techniques and tricks while using an arsenal of custom made gear and Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) -- pushing CPU and GPU to the edge of their capabilities and raising overclocking from a mainstream hobby to a sate of the art. The emerging champion from this regional event will make their way to Taipei, Taiwan for GIGABYTE's Worldwide Overclocking Competition 2008 and compete with record breakers from 20 other countries and regions, including North Europe, Germany, Greece, Russia, Turkey, France, Malaysia, India, ME, Iran, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, Japan, China, and Taiwan.
