DirectCU II Thermals ensure quiet operation and cool performance
Award winning ASUS DirectCU II technology means the MARS II GPUs are cooled directly with dual 120mm fans and an all-copper pipe and heatsink base design that results in up to 20% lower operating temperatures compared to a reference GeForce GTX 590 design. ASUS also incorporated a Turbo Fan button on the card itself, allowing users to instantly switch the fans to 100% speed, regardless of driver settings. This feature proves very useful in overclocking situations where heat is a factor, as does the solid aluminum shroud that conducts heat away much more efficiently than materials used in reference graphics cards.
